Company Overview

Cook County Health is the third largest public hospital system in the country and the primary safety-net provider in Chicago. The mission of CCH is to provide high quality clinical care with dignity and respect to its community members regardless of their ability to pay. The John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County is located in the Illinois Medical District on Chicago's Near West Side and serves as the primary provider of comprehensive medical services for the people of metropolitan Chicago and suburban Cook County. In 2013, CCH launched a Medicaid managed care plan, CountyCare, through the Affordable Care which is now has more than 429,000 enrollees.

Company History

Since the founding of the original Cook County Hospital in 1834, Cook County Health has been committed to serving the health care needs of the residents of Cook County. Today we continue to provide care to thousands of people across Cook County and continue to grow for future generations. We are proud of our legacy.
